Lindener remanded for attempting to set building on fire
Fifty-eight-year-old Mohamed Khan, an operator of Andyville in Wismar, Linden, Region Ten (Upper Demerara-Berbice), was on Wednesday remanded to prison for setting fire to an item in a building.

Khan appeared virtually before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in that Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, and was not required to plead to the indictment when it was read to him.
The accused was arrested on September 26, 2021, and was charged with the offence, committed contrary to Section 145 of the Criminal Law Offences Act, Chapter 8:01: setting fire to an item in a building.
He will make his next court appearance on October 25, 2021.
