Lindener remanded for inflicting grievous bodily harm

Twenty-seven-year-old Mathew Nedd, also known as “Leroy Nedd”, was remanded to prison for the charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm on Dillon Batson. Nedd appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
The court heard that Nedd and two other persons – Oneil Estwick and Lenox Estwick – on January 12, 2018, at Amelia’s Ward, Linden, inflicted grievous bodily harm on Batson. The accused failed to show up in court on two separate occasions and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The prosecution objected to bail on the grounds that the accused has managed to evade lawmen since the offence was committed and if granted bail it is likely he will not return to court. Need was remanded to prison and is slated to return to court on April 13.
