Lindener remanded for possession of illegal firearm

A Lindener was on Tuesday remanded to prison by Magistrate Wanda Fortune for the possession of an illegal firearm when he appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court
The defendant, Kirk Adams, also called “Kirky” was charged with the offence of possession of a firearm without a licence. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison until February 16, 2021.

According to prosecution facts on the matter, on January 22, 2021, Police conducted a sting operation where they trailed the defendant from Wismar to Mackenzie, Linden.
Ranks then intercepted a motor vehicle in which he was travelling and found a garbage bag containing a shotgun behind a seat in the vehicle. He was arrested and charged.
