A Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) man is now a patient at the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) after he was stabbed several times, over an old grievance with another man.
Injured is 23-year-old Rolex Brumell of Section C Christianburg, Wismar, Linden.
Reports are the incident occurred at about 10:30h on Monday at Christianburg. According to reports, Brumell and the suspect had a misunderstanding in 2019 and he had dealt the suspect a lash to his face during the altercation. On Monday, Brumell was on his way home when he was attacked by the suspect, who stabbed him several times about his body with a knife before escaping. Brumell was picked up by public-spirited citizens and taken to the LHC where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty and admitted a patient where he is currently nursing injuries. His condition is regarded as serious but stable. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
