“Living with Intention” motivational tour goes to Suriname

The “Living with Intention” motivational tour has crossed borders to our neighbour to the East, Suriname, and the first stop was AlphaMax Academy Private School where Guyanese fashion Icon Sonia Noel had an interactive session with students and teachers.
AlphaMax Academy is a values-based institution of education with an international curriculum that is delivered in English. Well known reporter Tasha Aveloo was tasked with introducing the Philanthropist who has used the fashion platform to inspire lives.
Both were raptly engaged, as the audience fielded dozens of interesting questions. The Embassy of Guyana in Suriname hosted a reception two Fridays ago for special invited guests; among them some members from the diplomatic corps.
Noel shared with her guest the reason she decided to write not only “Living with Intention” but also “Women Across Borders” anthologies. Persons were excited to purchase their autographed copies of this inspiration book. In addition, Jomax Restaurant hosted a book signing and fashion showcase last Saturday evening.
The main objective of the tour is to assist people in finding their purpose and to give the world the best version of themselves. Noel had a very empowering meeting with Reina Kolf, the founder of Rise Sister Rise to explore future collaborations.
“This tour has energised from the feedback received. We intend the take this motivational tour through all 10 regions of Guyana, several Caribbean countries and the US. How far we go is heavily dependent on the resources,” Noel explained.
The Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts in collaboration with the Lusignan Golf Club will be hosting a fundraising Tea Party and Fashion Show at the Lusignan Golf course this Sunday and all proceeds will go towards that tour.
At the event, models will showcase pieces designed by Sonia Noel, Lorane Sears, Vanda Allicock ,Veronica Glenn and hats by Melba La Gadoue.
Tickets are available at Makin’ Style Boutique, Courtyard Mall or check out the Foundation’s Facebook page for details on how to support this tour.
