Police on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD) are on the hunt for a man who carried out a daring robbery on a businessman at Friendship, Railway Embankment, ECD.
The suspect caught on CCTV footage carrying out the robbery
Reports are on Wednesday evening the man was sitting under a shed chatting with friends when the lone gunman walked into the yard and demanded that he hand over his cellphone.
Police told this publication that the suspect relieved the businessman of his cellphone and made good his escape in a white 212 motor car.
Meanwhile, investigators probing the robbery said that the suspect is of mixed race, about 5ft, and was wearing a blue, red and white toque, a polo jersey, and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.
Investigations are ongoing.
