A lone gunman on Friday afternoon carried out a daring robbery on the M&M Snackette at Houston, East Bank Demerara, carting off an undisclosed sum of cash.
Speaking with Guyana Times, a staff of the entity revealed that at about 15:00h on Friday, while a single staff member was at the location, the gunman walked into the snackette reportedly wearing an orange hat and white T-shirt.
He whipped out a pistol, and pointed same at the staff member as he demanded that she hand over the cash on premises. The frightened woman readily complied, and the man quickly made good his escape on a bicycle.
Contacted, the Police visited the business place and have since retrieved CCTV footage from the snackette. An investigation has been launched.
