A 56-year-old labourer of Loo Creek, Linden-Soesdyke Highway, was taken into custody following the discovery of a quantity of cocaine found on Thursday during an operation conducted at Better Hope, East Coast Demerara.

Police stated the narcotics were found in the suspect’s pants pocket during a search of his person and personal belongings. He was arrested and taken to the Sparendaam Police Station, where the cocaine was weighed and amounted to 1.6 grams.
He remains in custody pending further investigations and charges.
