Naya Zamana 21
The Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha’s popular theatrical production “Naya Zamana 21 – Lost in Time” will be presented at the York College Performing Arts Centre in Jamaica, Queens on Saturday, November 19 at 19:00h.

The show, which was presented in Guyana in August, received excellent reviews and Dharmic Sabha is extremely happy to be bringing it to New York. The Sabha will be partnering with ZEETV to present the production in New York.
“Lost in Time” traces the adventures of two young men who experiment with a time machine and are taken on an unexpected journey which includes a visit to the heavens and a trip to the future.
There is a lot of comedy, romance and drama and the audience is sure to be mesmerised by the magnificent costumes, sets and choreography. The show is written, directed and choreographed by Dr Vindhya Persaud.
Some 20 artistes will be travelling from Guyana to be part of the production which will also incorporate performers from New York. Dr Indhira Harry, Farzaana Khan, Nirmala Persaud, Travez Piaralall and Rahul Ravichandran play the lead roles.
Piaralall recently returned from India after completing his diploma at the world famous Anupam Kher’s Acting Academy in Mumbai.
Last year, Naya Zamana 20 was presented in New York and the response was excellent. Since then, the Sabha and its USA Praant in particular have been inundated with requests to bring the show again.
Naya Zamana 21 is new and different from 20. All proceeds from the production will go towards Bal Nivas, Dharmic Sabha’s shelter for children who are victims of abuse.

The Sabha would like to thank ZEETV and Fly Jamaica for supporting the production which gives talented young Guyanese artistes the opportunity to perform before a new audience and which brings a little bit of Guyana to the Diaspora.
The Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha has hosted this production for 21 years and continues to provide a positive platform for young people to develop their skills and talent and express themselves in creative ways. Many fans who attend Naya Zamana every year have remarked on how much it is like looking at a film on stage.
The production promises to be spectacular and will include all of the elements that make it so much loved and appreciated in Guyana including the opulent sets and fabulous costumes designed by Trishala Persaud. A must see for all, Naya Zamana continues to lead the way for family entertainment and raise the bar each year in production.
