A sparkling century off the bat of Mikyle Louis put up resistance for the Leeward Islands Hurricanes as they faced the Guyana Harpy Eagles on the first day of the second round in the ongoing West Indies Championships.
The GHE bowlers toiled to get wickets on what appeared to be a decent batting track at the Warner Park in St. Kitts and Nevis, but managed only to remove 6 batsmen after the Hurricanes won the toss and opted to bat first.
Louis slammed 113 from 221 deliveries, while Jahmar Hamilton also batted well to get the Hurricanes close to 300 after the first day. Hamilton hit 77 from 122 balls before being removed by Neiland Cadogan in taking his first first-class wicket.
