Chief Elections Officer Keith Lowenfield, his deputy Roxane Meyers and Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) Returning Officer Clairmont Mingo have been terminated as employees of the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM).
The decision was taken this afternoon when GECOM Commissioners met to discuss the future of the trio following their alleged involvement in the attempt to rig the March 2020 General and Regional Elections.

The trio is before the courts for various fraud and misconduct charges for the roles they played in executing the APNU/AFC’s attempt to derail the results of the elections.
Following the termination of their services at GECOM, PPP/C nominated GECOM Commissioners Sase Gunraj and Bibi Shadick both took to social media to relate the decision.
Motions for the trio’s termination were tabled by Gunraj, Shadick and their colleague Manoj Narayan.
