Lucrative tape-ball tournament for Cultural Centre tarmac

Under the auspices of Transcend Entertainment, there will be an Independence cricket festival at the National Cultural Centre tarmac on Saturday and Sunday.
According to the organisers, over $500,000 in cash and prizes will be up for the taking in the tournament, which will be played on a seven-a-side basis in a five-over bash.

The entrance fee is $10,000 and will see the return of the Village Ram to defend their title led by Omesh “Rampage” Danram; the star-studded V-Net Vipers, who have numerous national players from the county of Essequibo who are set to be in the mix.
Apart from the on-field action, there will be a barbecue. The organisers are thankful for the support of Banks DIH under its flagship Banks Beer brand, Imperial Trading, Xavier’s Investments, Precision Auto Works, Regal Stationery, the National Sports Commission, Star Party Rentals, Movement Auto Rental and Seeta’s Bar.
