Lusignan building gutted by unknown-origin blaze

A fire of unknown origin completely ripped through a building at Massacre Street, Track A, Lusignan, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) in a social media post stated that it responded to a report of a fire at the location, and upon arrival, firefighters observed the building fully engulfed in flames, with the fire threatening a nearby structure.

Through swift and coordinated firefighting efforts, the blaze was brought under control and prevented from spreading further.
Unfortunately, the building and its contents were completely destroyed, while the western wall of the nearby building was severely damaged. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
