Lusignan Bulls confirmed for DCB fundraising T10

Navin’s Construction and Triple A Heavy Duty Equipment Rental have confirmed their participation in the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB)’s fundraising T10 tournament, set for November 22 at the La Bonne Intention (LBI) Ground, East Coast Demerara.
The Triumph-based company will support the event financially and field the Lusignan Bulls, who become the fourth franchise confirmed for the eight-team competition. Premier Insurance, Mike’s Pharmacy and the Guyana Police Force are the other franchises announced so far.
Lusignan won the inaugural tournament, which was contested under a club-based format last year, and will now return seeking a second consecutive title.
The champions will collect GY$1 million, while proceeds from the competition will support grassroots cricket development across Demerara.
DCB Treasurer Vicky Bharosay welcomed Navin’s Construction and Triple A Heavy Duty Equipment Rental as both a franchise owner and donor. He praised the company’s continued investment in sport along the East Coast and further afield, noting that its contribution would help make the tournament a success.
Chanderpaul Ramraj, speaking on behalf of the company, said they were pleased to partner with the DCB and contribute to cricket development in Demerara.
All-rounder Akshaya Persaud said the Lusignan Bulls would be aiming to retain the championship, with the squad expected to feature a strong blend of youth and experience.

Under the competition rules, each team must register 15 players, with at least 12 drawn from Demerara. Teams may include no more than three players from outside the county.
Each squad must also contain two Under-19 players, with at least one required to feature in the playing XI.
The opening match will bowl off at 10:00h, while the day’s action will conclude under lights. Admission to the venue is GY$1000.
Navin’s Construction specialises in general construction and the rental of excavators, skid steers, rollers, loaders and trucks.
