Lusignan Prisoner murdered by fellow inmates

The Police said they are investigating the murder of Lusignan Prison inmate, Aldryn Adnois who was on remand for simple larceny.

According to information, Adonis called Ehawn Peters was allegedly murdered by four other inmates.

Investigations so far revealed that the 40-year-old was in section two of the holding bay while the suspects were in section one. Sometime about 22:30h on Monday night, Adonis was arguing with the suspects and he jumped the fence which separates bay one from bay two after which a fight ensued between them. This resulted in him receiving several chops about the head, chest, hands and both feet.

He was then taken to the medical outpost at the Prison and transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was being treated. He succumbed to his injuries about 10:30h today (Tuesday).

Investigations are ongoing.
