Lyndon Alves is new Crime Chief

Days after being appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lyndon Alves has also been designated Crime Chief, replacing with immediate effect Paul Williams, who has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner, Administration.

Deputy Police Commissioner Maxine Graham has ascended to the office of Deputy Commissioner ‘Operations,’ while Deputy Commissioner Nigel Hoppie will head the Special Branch/Intelligence Unit.
Assistant Police Commissioner Clifton Hicken, who once held a post at Police Headquarters, will take charge of ‘B’ Division (Berbice), replacing Lyndon Alves.
The Guyana Police Force also announced on Monday that Senior Superintendent Calvin Brutus has taken up the post of Commander of ‘C’ Division (East Coast), while Superintendent Dion Moore, who served as Traffic Chief, will now take up the post of Second in Command of ‘D’ Division (West Bank/West Coast Demerara).
The new Traffic Chief will, however, be Superintendent Linden Isles; and Superintendent Ramesh Ashram, who acted as Traffic Chief for some time, will now take charge of ‘A’ Division Traffic Department.
