The Machinery Corporation of Guyana (MACORP) on Wednesday held a simple ceremony to honour and recognise Gafsons Industries Limited for its unwavering support as a customer throughout the years.
Chief Executive Officer of MACORP, Guillermo Escarraga, handed over two pieces of construction equipment from the Caterpillar brand to representatives of Gafsons Industries as a token of appreciation for their unwavering support.
Gafsons Industries has been described by the CEO of MACORP as one of the best customers the company has ever had, and the CEO has said this is just the beginning of a very strong relationship between the two industries.
“We are delighted for them to have chosen Caterpillar and MACORP as their supplier,” he said. “We understand that they are very important in the construction industry in Guyana, and we just wanted to ensure that they have the understanding that we are there to support them.”

Meanwhile, Deputy CEO of Gafsons Industries, David Faulkner, has praised MACORP for being a customer-oriented organisation and for its genuine commitment to providing the best services for its customers.
“I must confess that we were a little taken aback. I think I speak for myself and my colleague when I say we’re not accustomed to this level of support and service… I must congratulate MACCORP for truly being a customer-oriented organization,” he said.
He went on to say that the ceremony, even though quite simple, speaks well of MACORP’s commitment to its customers, that it makes “every transaction special.”
Meanwhile, a representative of the MACORP team, whilst giving brief remarks, stated, “We’re [MACORP] a company to support our customers, as this is just not for a show of what we’re doing here today, but behind the curtains, there is a lot there in product support. You [Gafoors] can count on us 24/7, and we will be there to support you in your future needs…we’re here to support you. Count on us.”
