According to the Parts Manager, the new machines will be technologically savvy, in that it will require less human involvement in addition to it using less fuel and increasing efficiency by 45 per cent.
The Chief Executive Officer of MACORP, Guillermo Escarraga, noted how grateful the company is to have been in Guyana for the past 25 years and that it continues to look forward to Guyanese support, especially with the launch of the new machines.
He said the “very special product” will change the way work is done in Guyana. Escarraga explained, “Today everything is related to technology. We cannot live without technology… in the world of machines, this is a great advantage because machines work in remote locations and we need to be connected with them as well”.
According to him, it is based on those very reasons that MACORP is proud to present the next generation of excavators to increase productivity and safety.
The brief ceremony was attended by Business Minister Dominic Gaskin, Education Minister Nicolette Henry, students and other guests.
