Armed robbery
The trial of the five men accused of executing an armed robbery on a West Demerara man is set to commence on October 23. This was disclosed by presiding Magistrate at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court, Christel Lambert, on Monday.
According to the prosecution, Shadradi King, Ravi Doodnauth, Kwesi McKay, Deon Gittens and Vishanan Mathews are the five defendants who carried out the robbery with aggravation committed on Marvin Chung at the Malgre Tout Public Road, West Bank Demerara (WBD). The robbery occurred on August 12, 2017, but all five men have denied any involvement in the crime. They were all granted bail pending the outcome of the matter.
