Rayad Mohamed, 22, a fisherman of Lancaster/Unity, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was on Tuesday granted bail in the sum of $70,000 on an armed robbery charge.

Mohamed made a virtual appearance before Magistrate George during which the charge was read to him. Police stated that on November 14, 2023, the defendant robbed Naresh Luke, 47, and Bhajart Jaggernauth, 33, both of Unity, Mahaica.
The details of the robbery were not released to the press. However, Mohamed pleaded not guilty and was granted bail. He will make his next court appearance on February 6, 2024.
