Mahdia Movements Family Tour of Region 2: Mahdia record flawless victories over Lake Mainstay, Capoey

The Mahdia Movements Family, by far one of the most successful tape ball teams in Guyana, continued their tour of Region 2 by recording convincing victories in their matches over Lake Mainstay and Capoey in encounters that were best-of-three T10 matchups.

The first two games were played against Lake Mainstay on Sunday. Batting first, Mahdia posted 173-3 in their allotted 10 overs. Top scorers were Ricardo Adams with 103 and Ershad Ali with 51. In reply, Lake Mainstay posted 76 all out.
Bowling for Mahdia, Rajkumar Singh took 2-18, Raydon Austin took 2-12, Suresh Dhanai took 2-11, and Martin Singh took 2-9.
In the next T10 game, Lake Mainstay need to up the ante and level the series, but fell short by 56 runs, handing the Mahdia team a 2-0 victory. Batting first, Mahdia scored 156-1 from their 10 overs. Top scorers were Daniel Seegobin with 89 not out and Suresh Dhanai with 46 not out.
Lake Mainstay put up a fight, but could afford only 101 all out. Mahdia’s chief wicket-takers were Martin Singh with 2-5, Raydon Austin with 2-6, Suresh Dhanai with 2-8, Ricardo Adams with 2-11, and Rajkumar Singh with 1-0.
With two back-to-back wins against Lake Mainstay o Sunday, the Mahdia team were then pitted against Capoey in a best-of-three matchup on Monday. In game one, Mahdia made 198-3 from their 10 overs. Top scorers were Suresh Dhanai with 95, Ryan Adams with 82 not out, and Alex Rodriguez with 12.

Ershaad Ali and Ricardo Adams both dominated with centuries in the competition, and were among the wickets as well

Capoey had a very tame reply, and were dismissed for 55. The Mahdia bowlers were Rajkumar Singh with 4-7, Ricardo Adams with 2-5, Suresh Dhanai with 2-11, and Ershad Ali with 2-25.
In the second game, the Mahdia team demolished the Capoey team by 136 runs. Batting first, Mahdia posted a whopping 225-2 in their 10 overs. The lead scorers were Ershad Ali, with 110 not out, and Ricardo Adams, with 94.
Facing an impossible task, Capoey were removed for 89. Leading the charge in the Mahdia bowling department were: Rajkumar Singh with 2-4, Raydon Austin with 2-8, Martin Singh with 2-14, Ershad Ali with 2-22, and Alex Rodriguez with 2-31.
