A man who allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old boy was on Monday slapped with an attempted murder charge and remanded to prison.

He was not required to plead to the indictable charge which stated that on February 22, 2022, at Stabroek Market, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded the teen with intent to murder him. He was remanded to prison until March 21.
The Police prosecutor told the court James and the virtual complainant’s brother have an ongoing issue. On the day in question, James confronted the teenager and they ended up in a fight during which the victim was stabbed in the region of his heart.
