A 48-year-old housewife is now dead while her lover is now battling for his life at the West Demerara Regional Hospital after he attempted suicide by slitting his throat at his Good Intent, West Bank Demerara home earlier today.
Dead is Diane Hernandez of Recht Door Zee, West Bank Demerara while the alleged suspect is Nigel Glasgow, 40, of Lot 4 Murphy Street, Good Intent, West Bank Demerara.
According to information received the woman was found hanging from the rafter in the house and the alleged murderer was found in a pool of blood with his throat slit.
Neighbours reported that the couple arrived at the man’s home close to midnight on Tuesday evening. However, at around 3:00h, the eyewitnesses reported that screams and shouts were heard emanating from Glasgow’s house.
