Man arrested at Moleson Creek with ganja

A man was on Wednesday arrested after he was nabbed with 240 grams of marijuana after he attempted to board a boat to Suriname at Moleson Creek, Corentyne, Berbice.
Reports are the man was making his way to the gate when immigration officers saw him attempting to dispose of a parcel. The man is said to have been acting in a suspicious manner which drew the attention of the ranks.
The officers were able to retrieve the parcel and upon inspection, a quantity of seeds, leaves and stem were found.
He was handed over to the Springlands Police Station where the contents of the parcel was weighted and found to be 240 grams. The suspected drug trafficker is expected to make his court appearance today.
