The Police are on the hunt for three men who attacked and chopped a man on Saturday evening last. The injured man has been identified as Rayon Adams.
Based on reports received, at about 19:00h on the day in question along the Annandale Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara, Adams travelled to Annandale to uplift money owed to him by an acquaintance who is commonly called “Dul Dul”.
However, while Adams was waiting to collect same, he was attacked by three men who were armed with cutlasses. One of the suspects, Andy, dealt one blow to his left hand, thus resulting in it being severed from the wrist.
After committing the act, the suspect along with his two accomplices made good their escape. One of the accomplices is known as “Becko.”
Meanwhile, the injured victim was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. The matter was reported to the Police and an investigation was launched. Up to press time, no arrests were made.
