Man before the courts on dangerous driving charge

Another man who refused to adhere to the laws of the road was made to stand before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, charged with dangerous driving.

Orwin Seagan, 25, pleaded not guilty to the charge after it was read to him.

The charge alleged that on November 25, 2016, at Mandela Avenue, Georgetown, he drove minibus BPP 7545 in a manner dangerous to the public thereby endangering the lives of pedestrians.

However, a second charge filed against him states that on the same day at the same location, he had passengers in his vehicle that were over the permitted limit.

The prosecution had no objections to bail and this was granted at $25,000. The defendant will return to court on December 20.
