Man charged for robbing woman of ATV

Shane Bourne of Lot 23 Saffon Street, Charlestown, was on Friday released on bail by Magistrate Leron Daly when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to a simple larceny charge.
It was alleged that on May 6 and May 7, 2018, at Georgetown, and while in the company of others, he stole one Yamaha All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) valued $2.5 million property of Michelle McKenzie. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
According to the facts presented, on the days in question, the man was asked by the owner of the ATV to assist her in starting the vehicle and after it started, he rode away. Bail was granted in the sum of $100,000.
The matter was adjourned until June 1 for a report and completion of the file.
