Man denies Smyth Street execution killing

The High Court trial of Riverview, Georgetown resident Morris Prince is set to

commence before Justice Navindra Singh following the empanelment of a 12-member jury on Tuesday.
The accused denied the murder indictment put forward by the State by way of

entering a not-guilty plea. It is alleged that he killed O’Riley Small on March 19, 2016.
According to reports, the deceased was executed on Smyth Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown when he had reportedly entered his yard after he returned home from a night out at a popular spot. It was claimed that he was approached by a man who discharged several rounds in his direction, thus allegedly causing a multiplicity of injuries about the body.

The accused is being represented by Attorney Mark Waldron while the prosecution’s counsels include Tuanna Hardy, Abigail Gibbs and Teriq Mohammed.
