An afternoon swim ended tragically for a young man after he drowned at St Cuthbert’s Mission, Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica).
The dead man has been identified as Orvin Tiwari. While details surrounding the incident were still sketchy at press time, Guyana Times understands that the young man was in St Cuthbert’s Mission and had gone for a swim.

Further reports coming out from the area, disclosed that the water current was strong and pulled Tiwari out in the deep.
