The gun and ammunition

According to Police, ranks were on patrol duty on Alexander Street, Georgetown, when they observed that the man was acting suspiciously as he walked with a bulky parcel. Realising that the police were closing in on him, the man dropped the parcel and ran through an unlit yard.
Police revealed that the parcel was retrieved and contained an unlicensed pistol with two rounds of live ammunition. The area was combed but the suspect was not located, Police said.
Just recently, a resident of Victoria, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was detained by the police after he too was nabbed with an unlicensed gun and matching ammunition.
Police ranks while on patrol between North Road and Robb Street, Bourda, Georgetown, observed the suspect acting in a suspicious manner in close vicinity of a fast-food restaurant in the area.
The man was approached and a search was carried out on his person. A .32 Taurus pistol and a magazine containing two .32 rounds of ammunition were found in a bag that was over his shoulder.
