Man fined for threatening to kill mother of his alleged child

A man who threatened to kill a woman after finding out that the child he thought he fathered with her turned out not to be his, was on Friday brought before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Augustus Liken admitted to Magistrate Leron Daly that he used threatening language towards Kewana Barker on October 12, 2017 in Georgetown.
According to the man, the Virtual Complainant (VC) bore a child who he thought he fathered.
However, only recently was the truth revealed to him which caused him to become enraged.
As such, he and the VC were involved in a bitter argument and he threatened to kill her. The matter was reported to the Police and the accused was charged.
Magistrate Daly fined him ,000 or a default of two weeks imprisonment.
