Man found with cocaine-sniffing utensil charged

Ronald Howard was on Monday charged for being in possession of a utensil used for ‘sniffing’ cocaine.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on May 25, 2017, at Cross and Leopold Streets, Georgetown, he was found to be in possession of a pen-like utensil which is used to sniff cocaine.

The 49-year-old resident of Lusignan, East Coast Demerara (ECD) told the court that he was never previously charged or ever placed before the courts.

The prosecution had no objections to bail, and this was granted in the sum of $30,000. The defendant’s next court appearance is on June 19, 2017.
