A 47-year-old man is now in Police custody after he allegedly robbed and raped a 64-year-old woman in the East Berbice-Corentyne Region.
Based on the information provided, the incident occurred earlier today. The man allegedly robbed the victim of $200,000 before raping her.
Subsequently, the GPF has arrested the suspect at his home where some of the cash was recovered.
