Dead: Rackesh Ramcharran

Rackesh’s father Devanand Ramcharran told this publication that his daughter-in-law had said that his son had left home and had not returned, but this daughter-in-law is claiming that her husband had left to go to his father’s house.
Somwatie Ramcharran, 25, said her husband Rackesh had left home, and she did not try to contact him or his parents even after he did not return that night. She told this publication that, the following day, his father called the home asking for his son.
According to the mother of one, a search party had been formed and had gone looking for her missing husband, and on Wednesday she was told that the body of a man was found hanging from a tree in the backlands of Number 11 Village.

The senior Ramcharran explained that the Police called him and asked him to go and see if he could identify the body, and when he did go, he recognised that it was his son.
“…from the clothes that he was wearing. The shirt is a shirt that I gave to him…and I asked the undertakers to go into his pocket and see if he has his bank card, and they went into his pocket and took out the card and sanitise it; and when they open it, it had his bank card and his ID card,” he related.
After the couple got married in December 2015, they had lived with the Ramcharrans for a few months and then moved to live with Somwatie’s parents and siblings. (G4)
