Man remanded for Alexander Street murder

Twenty-five-year-old Pascal Smith, the prime suspect in the murder of John Houston, at Alexander Street, Georgetown, was remanded to prison after he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Monday.

Smith was not required to plead to the indictable charge which read that on May 27, 2017, at Alexander Street, he unlawfully murdered Houston.

The court heard that the prosecution’s file was not yet complete; hence the unrepresented accused was remanded to the Camp Street Prison. He was ordered to return to court on June 29 for report.
