Man stabbed to death during altercation with reputed wife

A labourer was stabbed to death by his reputed wife in the wee hours of Thursday at Tuschen Phase 2, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).
The dead man has been identified as 49-year-old Gavin Linden Melville, also called “Doggie”, a labourer of the said address.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased and his reputed wife returned home after attending an event when an altercation broke out between them.
During the incident he received a stab wound to the neck area, causing him to collapse.
The injured man was escorted to the De Kinderen Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
