Man wanted for robbery arrested at Arakaka

Thirty-nine-year-old Romel David, a pork-knocker of Pakera Village, North West District (NWD) who was sentenced in absentia on an armed robbery charge was arrested on Monday.
Based on reports, the man was arrested at 5 Miles, Arakaka by a party of Police ranks who were on a mobile patrol.
After the incident, an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest by Magistrate Dylon Bess, who had sentenced him to three years’ imprisonment after an ex-parte trial on February 8, 2020 when he failed to appear in court. He was on the run up until his apprehension.
