Man wanted for stabbing teen son to death arrested
Days after stabbing his 17-year-old foster son Daniel Wilson to death at Lower Black Water, North West District (NWD), the murder suspect, 30-year-old Nigel Abraham was arrested by Police.
The teen was reportedly stabbed to death on April 17 at Lower Black Water, Barima River, NWD, Region One (Barima-Waini).
The victim’s cousin, 19-year-old Ron Moonsammy, was also stabbed to the chest during the incident and is currently receiving medical attention.
Reports are that the trio was imbibing alcohol when an argument broke out among them. This led to a scuffle, during which Abraham whipped out a knife and stabbed Wilson. Upon seeing this, Moonsammy intervened and attempted to save his cousin but the suspect reportedly stabbed him to the chest.
Both men were taken to the Mabaruma Public Hospital where Wilson was pronounced dead on arrival. Moonsammy was medevacked to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation shortly after for further treatment.
The murder suspect remains in Police custody assisting with investigations.
