Two armed bandits on Saturday robbed a 20-year-old mason of his cellular phones while he was working at a Georgetown residence.
According to reports, Collie Grant of Meadowbrook Gardens, Georgetown was working with a 19-year-old colleague, casting a yard at a North Ruimveldt residence when around 12:00h, they were confronted by two identifiable males.
One of the perpetrators, armed with a knife, asked Grant for $300,000 cash while his accomplice simultaneously whipped out a firearm from his pants waist.
The second perpetrator then used the weapon to hit the 20-year-old victim to his face and demanded that he hand over all his valuables.
Grant complied and handed over one iPhone S5 valued $35,000 and one Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge valued $43,000.
The two perpetrators then escaped in an unknown direction.
The incident was subsequently reported at the East La Penitence Police Station, and an investigation has since been launched.
