Massy gives boost to referees with donation of substitution board

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has received a referee’s electronic substitution board from Massy Guyana Group of Companies, to enable the work of the referees in Guyana.
This presentation was made at the company’s Headquarters at Ruimveldt Georgetown by Deo Persaud, Chairman of Massy Guyana Group of Companies. Recipient was Dion Inniss, GFF’s Executive Committee Member and Chairman of the National Football Referees Council (NRFC)
In brief remarks, Inniss noted that Massy has always been receptive to the football fraternity, and is thus not a first-time partner. He expressed gratitude to the company for the support.

“Massy has always been a very reliable partner for football. We are happy to be using the MoneyGram brand; and this very important piece of equipment in football, which appears simple, contains information relevant to spectators and players alike. We’ve been without one for many months. We’re thankful for this presentation.”
Persaud, in response, said: “We are happy to assist sports on the whole, and in this case, football in particular. We do support several sporting disciplines and bodies across Guyana. So, we as a group, (Massy Services and MoneyGram) continue to support and give back to the community. It’s part of Massy’s corporate philosophy to give back.”
In his remarks, Head of the Refereeing Department of the GFF, Stanley Lancaster, said: “This is by far the most modernized board that we’ll use compared to the others we’ve had. We’ve had many manual boards, so we welcome this. Every time we make a substitution, the brand will be visible.”
MoneyGram is an international money transfer operation that provides innovative money transfer and payment services globally. In Guyana, Massy Services is the super-agent for this business. On offer are international and local money transfers across Guyana through the network of more than forty (40) sub-agents.
