Massy Group reopens Massy Motors in Essequibo

Massy Group, one of the largest business conglomerates in the Caribbean, on Friday re-opened Massy Motors at Sparta, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).

The reopening was done with the aim of connecting customers with easier access to the wide range of services offered by the company but more importantly, it will create employment for many.
During the opening ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Rohit Coonjah stated that the reopening is in keeping with the Group’s commitment to providing Guyanese with unique dealership-friendly options with comfort and access in mind.

He explained that the store will serve as an accessible and affordable medium of marketing for all Guyanese, especially those on the Essequibo Coast.
“The new Massy Motors is specifically equipped to provide dealership solutions for our partners on the Coast…it will ensure that we have suitable capacity to adequately represent all our line…from long-standing relations,” Coonjah related.
Massy is the sole distributor for Massy Ferguson products, Nissan, Iveco, power master tractors-Farmtrac (Escorts), MLA Forklifts, Mack Trucks, vehicles-Chrysler group (Jeeps). Batteries such as Moura, Zeeta, and Shell lubricants will also be marketed.
Coonjah also said that despite the pandemic, the Group marked yet another significant milestone in Massy Motors’ journey while noting that the company has evolved from a single Massy Group to a state-of-the-art facility at Three Friends, Essequibo Coast.
“This pandemic has impacted our wellbeing, our leadership should continue to facilitate fulfilment activities in all dimensions of personal wellness in areas where focus is our physical, mental, social, emotional, environmental and occupational wellness… We shall get through these challenges as better human beings with greater purpose,” Coonjah explained
Meanwhile, Sparta Office Manager, Dhanraj Singh encouraged the staff to work diligently to make the business a success in the future.
