– as Smith, Hodge resist Jaguars with centuries
Veteran batsman Devon Smith and his prolific team mate Kaveem Hodge have each scored a century as the Windward Islands Volcanoes resisted the Guyana Jaguars’ push for victory in their fifth-round clash that was played in St George’s Grenada.

The match ended as a draw, with the Volcanoes on 273-1 after 82 overs.
Smith, whose innings included 12 fours and one six, slammed an unbeaten 147 from 262 balls to register his 38th first-class century, while Hodge made an even 100 from 227 balls, including 11 boundaries.
The Jaguars had earlier replied to Volcanoes’ 318 all out with a strong batting effort of 426. In a game which featured Shimron Hetmyer, it was Leon Johnson who led from the front with a career best unbeaten 189, while Christopher Barnwell had made a stylish 107.
