McGill thrash MMZ 3-0 in the SP GCSL & ASA Express Online Shipping and Shopping 40 overs series

In what was a dominant end to the SP GCSL & ASA Express Online Shipping and Shopping 40 Overs Series, McGill Superstars thrashed the Meten Meer Zorg Sports Club 3-0 to close out the series at the MMZ ground.
Ronaldo Renee was adjudged man of the series with 185 runs from 3 games, and also the best batsman of the series. Daniel Basdeo copped the best bowler with 9 wickets from his 3 matches.

The main highlight of the game was that MMZ batted first, and at the first water break were 98-1 in 15 overs. Tevin Imlach shared an opening stand of 30 with Sheldon Alexander (15) and a 2nd wicket partnership of 68 with Randy Lindore (27).

Travis Persaud chipped in with 2-12

After the water break, only Jermaine Maxwell (29) and Randy Lindore (27) offered some resistance, and took their team to 185 before they were bowled out in 33 overs.

Bowling for McGill were Daniel Basdeo, with 3-29, Ganesh Puran, with 3-47, and Travis Persaud, with 2-12.

Left arm seamer Daniel Basdeo picked up 3-29. He tallied 9 wickets from the 3 matches, which made him the Best Bowler of the Series

Mc Gill were 2-2 in 2 overs, losing Skipper Sudesh Persaud and Travis Persaud in the same over to pacer Sheldon Alexander. Mc Gill fell into deeper trouble at the end of 6 overs with their score at 20-4 losing Troy Persaud (4) and Peter Persaud (5).
Abdul Razack and Ronaldo Renee put on a 141-run partnership before Razack fell for 41, with McGill still needing 14 more runs. In the end, Ronaldo saw the game home with an unbeaten 124*. McGill ended on 188-5 in 28.4 overs. Bowling for MMZ, Sheldon Alexander took 3-51.
