Mentally-challenged man remanded for cocaine possession

A man who is said to be of unsound mind was remanded to prison on Friday after he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts before Magistrate Leron Daly
Marvin Prince pleaded guilty to the charge that was read to him which stated that on April 17, 2018 he was found with 0.5 gram of cocaine in his possession.
The homeless man pleaded guilty and explained that he would use the drug as pain medication since he suffered from several ailments.
Police Prosecutor Sanj Singh made objections to bail being granted, and the defendant was subsequently remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned, and Prince was expected to return to court on May 5, 2018.
