In an incident captured on video and widely circulated on social media, two Venezuelan nationals were allegedly coerced by unidentified individuals to confess to theft.

Afterwards, they were told to strip and walk naked down a public road. The video has sparked outrage among the Guyanese community. The incident allegedly occurred in Guyana, but this publication could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
The Guyana Police Force has since initiated an investigation.
In a statement, the Guyana Police Force said it has “taken note of a video circulating on social media depicting two Venezuelan nationals being coerced by unknown individuals to confess to theft and subsequently instructed to strip naked and walk down the road. Details about the individuals involved and the location of the incident remain unknown at this time.”
