Milerock, Corriverton Lynx record wins

GFF-NAMILCO U-17…

Net Rockers of Upper Demerara and Corriverton Lynx of Berbice secured victories when the Thunderbolt Flour Power National U17 tournament continued in the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) and the Berbice Football Association recently.
In the UDFA, action was held at the Wisburg Ground and saw Amelia’s Ward FC and Eagles FC playing to a 2-2 draw while Milerock FC defeated Netrockers FC by a 7 – 0 margin with a hat-trick scored by Tyrese Lewis. Action in Berbice saw Corriverton Lynx FC defeating Young Strikers FC by 5 – 1 at Burnham Park and Mondderlust FC getting the better of Hopetown United FC by a 3 – 0 margin at the Number Five Ground.
The other 11 matches scheduled for last weekend were cancelled due to the inclement weather.
This is the third week of play in the second half of the competition which is a five (5)-year partnership between the GFF and the National Milling Company and is a key component of the Guyana Football Federation Executive Committee’s strategic objective in its youth development thrust.
