Miner arrested after tossing marijuana through window
A 36-year-old man was taken into custody after he was caught tossing a quantity of marijuana through his window at Tamakay Landing, Middle Mazaruni River, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), on Monday.

Police stated that on the day in question, a team of Police ranks were on patrol duty at Tamakay Landing, Middle Mazaruni River, and based on information received, the suspect was contacted at his living quarters.

However, the ranks requested to carry out a search on the suspect’s apartment to which he agreed. Nevertheless, during the process, the man was seen throwing a parcel through a window.
The parcel was subsequently retrieved, opened and a quantity of ganja amounting to 508 grams were found.
The suspect was told of the offence committed, cautioned, arrested, and was escorted to Enachu Police Station. Investigations are ongoing.
