Miner found dead with abrasions to knees

A 31-year-old miner was found dead by his workmates with abrasions to both knees at the Kumung Kumung Backdam, Mazaruni River, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).
Dead is Denzil Prince of Bartica, Region Seven.
According to reports, some time between 16:30h and 18:30h on Tuesday, Prince, an employee to a dredge owner, of West Indian Housing Scheme, Bartica, left the working area without informing anyone.
The dredge owner told Police that the last time he saw the now dead man was about 16:30h as he was leaving the mining pit. Reports are about two hours after Prince left the worksite, his colleagues were informed that his body was found on the road on his All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). The dredge workers who found the now-deceased man said when they discovered him, he was slumped over and motionless on ATV CG 6474 about one mile away from the Kumung Kumung landing.
He was taken to the Bartica Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A preliminary examination of the ATV via photographs also showed a bent front grill and left fender. A post-mortem examination (PME) is expected soon. (G9)
