Minibus driver intercepted with 3.7 grams ganja during roadblock

A 35-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after he was found with 3.7 grams of cannabis in his possession during a Police road block exercise along the Orangestein Public Road, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).
Based on reports received, several Policemen were operating the road block in the area in question when the suspect who was driving a minibus was intercepted.
Upon stopping the suspect, the Police reportedly requested to conduct a search on the vehicle and he agreed. During the search, a quantity of ganja was found in a black strap bag that he was wearing around his shoulder at the time.
He was cautioned and told the rank, “Officer ,you is a demon.”
The cannabis was taken to the Police Station where it was weighed in his presence and amounted to 3.7 grams.
The Police stated that the minibus driver remains in custody pending charges.
