Social Cohesion Minister, Dr George Norton’s condition has been listed as stable following a health scare, which led him to be admitted to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) on Thursday.
The Ministry of the Presidency in a statement to the media said the Minister is out of danger and is in a stable condition. Norton was rushed to GPHC after he complained of feeling unwell and went to the hospital with a headache, high blood

pressure and slightly slurred speech.
According to information reaching Guyana Times, the Social Cohesion Minister reportedly suffered a spike in his blood pressure. However, other sources had also informed that the Minister had suffered a mild heart attack.
The former Public Health Minister is a devoted athlete who prides himself in keeping fit. He was earlier this year taken from his position as the Health Minister and assumed responsibility as the Social Cohesion Minster.
